The local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship® has been reaching children for Christ in this area for 52 years. Under the leadership of Dale Baer, the local Director for Morrow, Ashland, Richland, Crawford and Knox Counties, the Local Committee has been led by the Lord to establish a goal of reaching 7000 children annually by the year 2007.
Our mission is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God in a local Bible believing Church. Through the Good News Clubs®, Summer 5-Day Clubs®, Fair Ministry and other events, we are reaching thousands of boys and girls in the five county area. Well over 50% of these children are unchurched. In partnership with the local churches, we disciple these children after they are saved and endeavor to teach them Christian living skills.
Last year we were able to reach 3,500 children and we rejoiced as we witnessed 345 give their hearts to Christ. We feel burdened with a sense of urgency to reach many more children.
